Sunday Afternoon

After Melinda's trek to Orlando and back she was seen by a witness named Wahanina Leggett who lived in the same apartment complex. Here is her sworn statement to Denise Nevers of the FDLE

Let's examine this statement from Wahanina Leggett:

The statement was given one week after Leggett saw Melinda.
Leggett said she saw Melinda while Leggett was walking (from the parking lot) toward her own apartment, so Leggett was facing the fence. If Melinda said hello to Legget, Melinda must have been coming FROM her own apartment TOWARD her car which was parked in that area.

Here is a google shot of the Windemere apartments with their apartment numbers and showing the parking lots.

Also, Leggett stated that Melinda wore a "coat", blue jeans and a hat. Here is the weather report for Sunday August 27, 2006. At the time frame (3:30 - 4:30PM) that Leggett stated she saw Melinda it was 90 degrees. Why would Melinda wear a "coat"? However, at 6:14 PM there was a light rain.

Leggett also stated that she did not see Trenton with Melinda. There are possible explanations for this. Melinda could have arrived earlier than Leggett and taken Trenton to the apartment and fed him and put him in for the night. Then run out to the car to get her laptop or whatever and threw on her jacket because it was raining and saw Leggett and said "hello". That would fit the timeline for the weather and explain why Trenton was not with her.

Melinda stated that she carried Trenton from the car to the apartment in her own statement to police. So if Leggett said she (Leggett) was walking TOWARD her apartment and facing the fence and saw Melinda walking along the fence line, Melinda's BACK would have been toward Leggett and Melinda would not even had seen Leggett nor have a reason to say hello.

Melinda talks about driving into her apartment complex and seeing the confrontational neighbor Melissa Inglis who lived with her children in apartment 55 which was near the roundabout. That is the reason she parked in the other parking lot as pictured above.

Her statement continued.

So Melinda states that she arrived home around 5:30. Not between 3:30 and 4:30 like Leggett stated to police. But the cell phone pings indicated that Melinda was in the vacinity of her apartment around 5:00 PM.

There is a gap in time between 5:14 and 6:40 PM. This could have been when Melinda was feeding Trenton then placing him in bed. This is also when she could have run out to her car for whatever reason (without Trenton) and saw Wahanina Leggett.

Saturday, August 26, 2006 Melinda wrote in her agenda "lunch?". This referred to the myspace posting from early Saturday morning (1:11 AM) from Chen to meet for lunch.

Melinda and Trenton arrived at the Eubanks' home in The Villages around 9:30 AM. Melinda did her week of laundry and Trenton played. Billy Eubank had some maintenance to take care of at their church during lunchtime. Nancy prepared lunch for the three of them. She always kept things at the house for Trenton. Melinda and Trenton took a two hour nap before they had their lunch. When Billy got back from the church he suggested eating out, but Nancy, Melinda and Trenton had already eaten. Melinda took her folded laundry and left with Trenton around 4:00 - 4:30 PM. Nancy and Billy went out to eat at a local restaurant after they had left.

Melinda received two myspace postings while she was at the Eubanks'. She usually brought her laptop with her but it doesn't appear that she went on the internet while she was at her grandparents'. However, at 4:20 she sent a message to Aurora about taking a little rest and relaxation (R and R). Apparently she didn't call Ryan Misener (RyBEAR) to come over Saturday night. However, according to the FDLE interview of Ryan Misener she called him Sunday morning to invite him to come to her house that night for a movie.

This is after she left the grandparents' in the Villages:

Leesburg police stated that they discovered Melinda purchased gas by finding a billing statement that arrived at an old post office box (that she no longer used) from BP after her death. This was a brand new credit card and this was the first and only statement that she received. However...the actual credit card was NEVER found. She had approximately 17 credit cards/debit cards but NO BP card. Melinda filled up her gas tank the day before for $32.46 using her debit card. (An Eclipse gets approximately 325 miles to a tank of gas) She still had plenty of money in her bank account ($726.14) so why would she add a new debt when she was trying to get rid of her debts. And why would she only purchase under $10 in gas and on a credit card, and a brand new one at that.

Speculation on my part: The actual purchase amount of gas was between $5 and $8. That sounds more like filling up a gas tank for a motorcycle. The old post office box was one she used in Bushnell where she lived with Josh Duckett. It appears to me that "someone" wanted to place Melinda in a certain area at that time. There also was a telephone call at 8:13 PM that the police have refused to identify on Melinda's timeline. It was stated that Josh Duckett spoke to Melinda that night. But the person who made that statement (Josh's best friend's wife Pamela Stout-Scott) was told to retract that statement (By a call to her mother-in-law - a friend of Carla Massero's).

The Plot thickens.

Friday, August 25, 2006 Melinda wrote in her agenda about a money credit due her because of a status change for Trenton's daycare.

Again, it makes absolutely no sense for these entries into her agenda if she was planning on meeting up with someone on Saturday or Sunday to hide Trenton away from Josh. Where is the logic in these activies for a very methodical, organized person? So, the investigators have come to a very illogical conclusion in this missing child case.

Melinda's myspace entries for August 25, 2006:

Melinda called the Eubanks to pick up Trenton from daycare. She had a "slight emergency". An unnamed girl friend borrowed her dad's sportscar and it was overheating. She was down near Tampa and called Melinda to come get her. Melinda had experience driving cars that overheated (the old Neon she had with Josh) so she agreed to drive the sportscar back and the girl drove Melinda's car. Apparently Melinda also attended a small party where they played beer pong.

According to Melinda's checkbook register, she purchased gas for $32.46 with her bank debit card. This left her a checkbook balance of $726.14. She had already paid her rent to Windemere Villas for $405 on August 20, 2006. Now if she was thinking of "getting out of Dodge" why did she pay her September rent one week before Trenton went missing?

Here is the Lake County Circuit Court information on Melinda's divorce from Josh Duckett. Note the dates:

Here it is Wednesday, only four days before Trenton goes missing. There is a "very mad crowd at Melinda" over there in Sumter County where Josh Duckett lives. Josh had been to see his father in prison on August 12, 2006 and found out that Melinda showed James Duckett the copy of the threatening email, and that his father was paying money to Melinda for Trenton's child support because Josh was not paying. Josh caught up the child support for the July 12 restraining order hearing, but did NOT pay July's payment nor August's payment. Why wouldn't he pay? Especially since he was in contempt for non-payment before? Why was there such a "mad crowd" over in Sumter County? Melinda was having "issues" with Josh since August 12 (and the threatening email July 3, 2006 when Josh's mother was served the contempt of court for non payment of child support papers). Melinda was trying to go by the "book". She had her attorney file papers incorporating the restraining order with her divorce.

Melinda wanted to hire someone to "talk some sense into Josh", but it never happened. She kept Trenton close to her at all times. And in her own tearful words to Billy Eubank, "I was suppose to protect him (Trenton) but he was taken right out from under my nose".

Why can no one see what really happened here?

This is a myspace posting to Kyle Bowden from Chen's sister Anna telling him she was coming to Florida around the time Trenton went missing. Police believed Melinda handed Trenton off to Anna but they were mistaken.

Melinda wrote in her agenda that she was meeting John at Ramshackles. This is John Fiveash who worked with her delivering newspapers for the Villages Sun. He was one of the many people she contacted to get $5,000 to protect her and Trenton because she was having issues with Josh Duckett. (She was contacting any and everyone after August 12, 2006 when Josh had visited his father in prison) Fiveash told Melinda he wanted to meet up with her to discuss it face to face. He suggested Ramshackles as he remembered she told him she lived in that area. Melinda then told him to just come to the apartment. Here is John Fiveash's statement to Leesburg Police on August 31, 2006:

Then on September 6, Fiveash went back to the detectives and gave an additional statement.

After reading the statement and listening to the actual audio recordings of John Fiveash, I noticed that he worked in Ocala, Florida within a short distance from where I live. Here is what I wrote on a private forum regarding my meeting with John Fiveash.

I have spoken to John Fiveash a number of times. He says he was curious as to why Josh Duckett wasn't showing any "urgency" in finding Trenton. He wanted to discuss this with the Leesburg Police but they basically blew him off. During the Casey Anthony trial he called me again and wanted to arrange a meeting but it never happened.

His comment about Melinda having a friend in the Navy (Nicole Diaz in her statement to Leesburg Police mentioned Nick Kristaf in New York). Melinda had another friend in the military Stev Wilson. I contacted Stev Wilson on his facebook account and he sent me this email. He also called Billy Eubank and stated the same information to him on the phone. Here is that email:

Websleuths is a very popular forum for crime sleuths which I joined in September 2006 and posted as Maytruthprevail. A fellow poster sindydee who had not been involved with the Trenton Duckett case until recently sent me these encouraging words which were music to my ears.

She made a purchase at the SuperWalmart 3 minutes from her house at 9:11 PM (receipt from trash pull in dumpster).

Looking at Melinda's activities prior to Trenton's disappearance, it doesn't appear that she is making any plans to "give him away" so she can get on with her life. It appears that life for Melinda and Trenton is "life as usual".

Melinda had plans for the future, she wanted to make a career for herself in law enforcement and she wanted to give the son that she loved a good stable home. Melinda always worked, and Melinda always took care of Trenton when she had custody of him.

Why would Melinda, who fought so hard for two years to KEEP her son with her, why would she "give him away" or worse kill him? Does it make sense? NO! So what other possibilites are there?
WHO was it that was always trying to get Trenton AWAY from Melinda? WHY was Melinda frantic to get her hands on thousands of dollars to PROTECT her and Trenton? WHO was threatening her? And WHAT WOULD MOTIVATE Melinda to jeopardize EVERYTHING she worked so hard to gain since she had Trenton?

Josh Duckett...Grieving Father...Send Money

Trenton Duckett will be missing 5 years on August 27, 2006. Josh Duckett is probably figuring out how he can best use this anniversary date to drum up sympathy from the public and get people to donate more money to the Trenton Duckett FAMILY Trust Fund a/k/a Josh Duckett.

Not only has there NEVER been an accounting as to the donations collected, with all the IOU's for monies spent, WHAT does Josh Duckett need money for? To hire a private investigator? Seems he had one that donated his time Paul Albie (PA) Turner.

What about setting up a command center? Seems he had that donated also from Mouse Effects.

Following up on tips?

Seems like the Florida taxpayers took care of that one with Leesburg Police, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, FBI. Progression picture of Trenton? Those expenses were also taken care of by the Missing and Exploited Children Foundation.

So let's take a look at how Josh Duckett spent his time after Trenton went missing in 2006.

WHEN DID MELINDA HAVE THE TIME TO PLAN HANDING TRENTON OFF TO SOME UNKNOWN PERSON TO KEEP HIM FROM JOSH DUCKETT?

AND WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD SHE EVER DO SUCH A THING?

Melinda Duckett is NO different than ALL THE OTHER SINGLE MOMS who are struggling to keep their families together.

And many of those moms have a POS to deal with, a POS who wants control and is abusive and doesn't want to pay child support (because they don't look at it as paying for the CHILD but paying money to the child's MOM).

And didn't Josh Duckett do the exact same thing to his OTHER son's mother? You betcha.

I believe, as others have as well, that the published progression picture of Trenton does not resemble him at all - the skin color, the forehead nor the eyes.

Snow White Vixen is Sara Eggleston Mitchell, Cara's older brother Andy's ex-wife.

Hot Sauce is Jason Witzigman. In Nikole Diaz's statement to Leesburg Police Nikole stated she suggested to Melinda to ask Jason for money. Jason met Melinda and Nikole at the Bank of America where the girls worked together. He was a chef at the Lampoon Japanese Restaurant in Leesburg. I met him one night and handed him a note to call me, which he did. I had mistakenly thought he was the Jason that warned Melinda about the the "mad crowd in Sumter County". He told me that he went to the Marion County Police and spoke to Detective Art King that Melinda had asked him for $5,000. Everyone on the forums were speculating that Melinda needed the money to "cover the BOA theft of $10,800" which was a crock. He also told me that Melinda was very afraid for herself and Trenton and he offered to have her come stay with him or he would go to her place. He told me that Melinda was always very protective of Trenton, especially when around unfamiliar people. He told me that it was obvious to him that Melinda loved Trenton and would never hurt him.

Rene was a male aged 22 from Costa Mesa California.

The Last Recidivist is Matt Carlson friend of Chris Pearce and lives in Orlando Florida.

Heather is Heather Freddino and has a twin brother Jon Freddino (also invited to the party). They graduated from South Sumter High School with Josh Duckett and Melinda. Both are friends on the social networks of the Ducketts today.

David is David Hansard. He still has Mee kee ong lee on his myspace friend list. He is also friends with Danny Bass and is a fire fighter.

Pearce is Chris Pearce that Melinda met at the July 4th party. He was the one she invited to her apartment along with Danny Bass the night Trenton went missing. Chris also came to hers and Trenton's combined birthday partty.

In her posting to Phil (Mitchell) Melinda says "Thank you for everything I AM trusting you. Treat me well doll." This post was made on Saturday night just before midnight. That sounds like Phil told Melinda to trust him. Now he was invited to Melinda's birthday party (his sister Cara would be there) but he never showed up. Melinda's comment to him on the 15th was:

Here's part of the Nicole Diaz interview where she states Melinda called her the night of the 12th to ask her how she could get hold of a lot of cash.

So why would Melinda need money the night of the 12th? All her agendas and myspace postings showed no urgency that anything was happening in her life. She was going to class, taking spanish lessons, running to keep in shape for her police academy, she was getting involved with Forex. She was friends with Cara up until her birthday. So something had to have made an impact on Melinda's situation.

So now she needed some other sort of income. She had heard about Forex, which was a way to invest in foreign exchange currency online. She went to the hotel for a meeting about Forex in Orlando.

Melinda purchased this software using her Chase credit card. One program was in the amount of $1,602.32 and the other in the amount of $840. These were purchased on August 9, 2006.

Here is a poloroid picture of Josh Duckett taken in Melinda's bedroom at her grandparents' home sometime in December 2003.

According to the poloroid picture above I would guess Josh got his way as described in Melinda's letter to him April 13, 2003. Melinda called him "Puppy".

Melinda wanted to be accepted. We all know what Josh wanted.

Lets take a look at the photos and try to give it a time frame. The tattoos give a clue. Notice the bedspread on the poloroid picture. It is the SAME bedspread Melinda had up until the end.

Trenton's in daycare until 6 PM while Melinda works at TruGreen. Melinda's grandparents pick up Trenton and keep Trenton while Melinda attends her evening class and then visits Melissa Jones at the detention center.

Melinda wrote this to her myspace friend Jason at 8:09 AM.

This "Jason" is NOT Jason Witzigman as he went by the name "Hot Sauce" on her myspace.

I doubt that this was Jason Varnum as he dated her when Trenton was only 6 months old for a couple weeks.

Jason West was someone she had more of a serious relationship with after Josh Duckett but he broke up with her months before.

Here is what I found on a "mystery" Jason.

Members of sleuthing forums were guessing that Melinda and Cara set up a fake myspace account where they could send messages back and forth. However, take a look at the 29 friends listed on "Jason's" myspace account...Very familiar names: Danny Bass, Amanda Scott, Jason Varnum, Jason Witzigman and Melinda Duckett, but no Cara Mitchell.

The narrative stated that this was Josh Duckett's house when the police came to report Trenton missing. However, this is a Leesburg Police car and Sumter Sheriff Office came to their house. Also, this is Melinda Duckett's apartment complex. Josh lives in a double wide mobile home in a wooded area.

Someone retyped it for the show. It doesn't match the REAL email.

The reenactment picture does NOT give the true interpretation of what Trenton's room looked like. The window was a lot lower and the bed could have easily been reached by leaning in that window...especially if the person is as tall as Josh Duckett or taller like Jason Fort.

The Witch Hunt Trials: Speculation NOT Evidence

I know of 12 people who agree with me, that there was no conclusive evidence to support the charges against Casey Anthony. There was plenty of speculation but no real "without a doubt" evidence. The jury did their job.

A trial is not a popularity contest. Just because someone perceives something or someone in a particular light does not make it so. The fact is that Caylee Anthony died. But, the prosecution did not prove how, when, where, what or who killed Caylee. It is very possible that this was a tragic accident. There are many tragic accidents involving children that are just that...accidents. Casey has paid the ultimate price. She no longer has her child, and according to most witnesses in this case, Casey loved her child.

Why are we as the public so eager to condemn mothers of children who have died or are missing when the truth is unknown? Is every mother likened to Susan Smith? The mother who confessed to strapping her young sons in their carseats and letting the car roll into their watery grave while she watched?

The State of Florida prosecution looked only at Casey. They never checked the cell phone records of George Anthony - why not? It was stated that Casey didn't report her child missing for 31 days. Caylee wasn't missing she was dead. Did George lose it because he didn't want Cindy to find out? Then hid Caylee's body (prepared for burial like he did his family pets)? "It was an accident that snowballed out of control".

They had money problems - George lost thousands on a Nigerian scam. George didn't have a job. Missing children bring in donations.

People who believed that the prosecution in this case didn't show any proof of Casey being guilty have been afraid to open their mouth - for fear of the mob mentallity prevelant in this case. Nancy Grace stated that the jury was "kooky". So I suppose not only does she want to be "Judge" and don robes, but now she wants to be the jury as well.

Speculation- NOT evidence - is what the prosecuting attorney presented to the jury. There was absolutely no evidence showing who, what, where and how Caylee died. I am ashamed of the lynchmob drooling to string up Casey. I am proud to be an American who lives in a country that guarantees the accused to be held innocent until PROVEN guilty by a jury of his/her peers. God bless the jury and God bless America.

Vanished Episode 5 - Trenton Duckett Video

After watching this video, please note the discrepancies. The main one is that Melinda and Josh Duckett were fighting for complete custody. They were NOT fighting. Melinda had SOLE CUSTODY in May 2006. Josh had standard visitation.

The other interesting item is the appearance of Cierra Bacon on the show. She is the person who was sent the message from Josh's Fuckface myspace account minutes after the threatening myspace email was sent to Melinda.

Why haven't the investigators looked into this. It is very suspicious that a friend of Cierra Bacon was the "someone that knew both of them". Perhaps that person was Amanda Scott, the very same one who was the last comment on Josh's Fuckface Myspace and the one who commented on Josh's picture on June 18, 2006 "Always gota be flicking someone off".

Another interesting statement made on the show by Josh was his whereabouts the night that Trenton went missing... he was with friends in Tampa. Also Carla Massero also stated that they were all asleep when the police came. Here is what Josh had to say from the Nancy Grace transcripts:

GRACE: When did you learn Trenton had been taken?

JOSH DUCKETT: Around 9:45 -- between 9:45 and 10:00.

GRACE: That evening?

JOSH DUCKETT: Yes. Sunday evening.

GRACE: Now, on a Sunday evening -- what did do you when you first learned he was gone?

JOSH DUCKETT: I immediately started asking questions, and the officer that notified me had no information to give me, so I got dressed and left straight from my house and went straight to the Leesburg Police Department.

GRACE: You got dressed. Why were you undressed?

JOSH DUCKETT: I was in bed. I mean, I was ready for bed.

GRACE: Where do you work?

JOSH DUCKETT: So...

JOSH DUCKETT: I work for Doneright (ph) Electric in Wildwood (ph).

GRACE: Do you get up early in the morning to go to work?

The other thing that Josh said that just made me think of him as another Casey Anthony was when he stated that he watched Trenton 24 hours a day because Melinda worked away from the house.

It was stated that it would be impossible to reach inside and pull Trenton out the window. This woman says she is 5'10 inches tall.

Rockefeller of the Leesburg Police Department stated that it was possible but not probable that Trenton could have been taken out the window in an interview:

Melinda knew who friggin took Trenton. She waved the restraining order in front of the "cops" in her apartment. While she was upset for having Trenton taken right out from under her nose, she was even more angry. She kicked things in her apartment. Her actions were misinterpreted by the investigating police. They thought this is NOT how a grieved mother acts. But, this child was NOT taken by a stranger. Melinda had been expecting this. She was warned. She tried to get $5,000 to prevent this from happening. She thought she could protect Trenton herself. She only trusted herself. She didn't want to leave him out of her sight. Taking Trenton was just another retaliation tactic by Carla. How dare Melinda take out a restraining order on her son Josh and Carla wanted to have Melinda arrested for "defamation of character". Here is Deputy Lucas Brown of Sumter County Sheriff Office statement once again. I repost it for emphasis.

Lucas's last statement was that there were no indicators to him (remember he is a policeman) that Melidna Duckett would harm her son Trenton. It also states that Melinda believed that Trenton was taken by Jason Wayne Fort, Carla's live in boyfriend.

Jason Wayne Fort was born January 11, 1980. Carla's birthday is August 3, 1959. Jason rode dirt bikes with Josh, that's how Melinda met him. Jason's mother is Iris Tant Fort Payne. His father, was a fireman with the Bushnell Fire Department and died in 1989. Iris was best friends with Carla Massero and was one of the persons listed on the temporary restraining order placed on Carla Massero by her son Josh Duckett for harrassment and "trying to take Trenton away from them".

When I requested public records for Jason Fort from FDLE, the only record they sent me was Lucas John Brown's statement containing Jason Fort's name. No interview.

I then requested records from Sumter County Sheriff Office and am waiting for the information. The FDLE recrods cost well over $600. The bill for Jason's records from Sumter is $2.70. My guess is that Jason was not even interviewed by police about his whereabouts the night Trenton went missing.

Why would Melinda suspect Jason as the one who took Trenton. As Lucas Brown stated, she thought that Josh would not have the backbone to actually do it. And while the motive is retalliation by Carla Massero who sent her "gofer" guy to get her grandson, could Jason Fort be physically able to take Trenton out the window?

And Melinda Duckett stated in her interview that she, Chris Pearce and Danny Bass all heard a car door slam outside the apartment. Here is what Melinda said in her interview:

Who Took Trenton Duckett?

INTRODUCTION

Melinda Duckett thought she had finally won the battle. In February 2006 Melinda was granted child support in the amount of $403 per month. In May 2006, Melinda was granted sole custody of Trenton by DCF, with Josh having standard visitation. In June 2006, Melinda filed for divorce. That should have been the end of the nightmare of retalliation by Josh and his mother Carla Massero against Melinda.

But that was only the "eye of the storm".

This battle was a series of retalliation tactics by mostly Carla Massero and her spineless son Josh Duckett. In April 2005 Josh became "mad at Melinda" and left their Bushnell apartment. The next day, under direction of his mother, he made accusations against her to DCF. Melinda filed for child support the middle of April 2005. Carla hired an attorney to determine paternity, custody and child support (from Melinda). They accused Melinda of arsoning their porch on their flower shop. They accused Melinda of having sex with a Bushnell police officer for a favorable report about Trenton's care. They called Bushnell police chief and had her listen to a phone conversation in order to have Melinda baker acted so they could win custody of Trenton in court. And this was just April. The months that followed continued with more harrassment.

During the summer, Josh and Melinda married in July, Carla Massero had her friends and husband Kevin constantly harass Melinda and Josh at the Leesburg apartment. Even to the point of having Laurie Konnerth and her teenage daughter Danae hide out near the apartment to spy on them. Laurie later said (as part of the campaign against Melinda's reputation) she wanted to make sure Josh and Trenton were "alive" as Melinda had knives and could murder them. Kevin, Josh's stepdad, threatened to beat up Josh outside his job at Pat's Sales in Leesburg.

During the fall, Josh and Melinda had continual arguments, mostly about Josh's lack of responsibility toward Trenton and Melinda. More accusations by Josh. DCF again involved. Trenton bounced around, foster care, the grandparents home.

During the Chirstmas holidays, Kevin Massero was arrested for cocaine. Carla kicked him out. Then she takes in her new "companion" 26 year old Jason Wayne Fort (who also has a criminal history). All the DCF court hearings that ensued during 2006, Carla was accompanied by Jason Fort. Melinda told her grandparents that she knew Jason as someone who used to ride dirt bikes with Josh.

DAYS PRIOR TO THE ABDUCTION

August 12, 2 days after Trenton's birthday, Josh Duckett visited his father James Duckett, who is on Death Row in a Florida State Prison. They discussed the threatening myspace email sent to Melinda from Josh. James advised his son that email could add up to a lot of time in prison. The porn video was mentioned by Josh to his dad during that visit as well.

Why would Josh visit his dad whom he had only seen one other time (with Melinda) on that particular Saturday? Wouldn't Josh have wanted to be on his bike, or with his friends? Why the 2 hour trip to Starke with his uncle? And then to discuss the email and the porn?

And then, how/why would James Duckett get a message to Melinda to not come and visit him on the 27th of August (the day Trenton was abducted) then write her a letter stating how funny it was that he "got his dates mixed up". I would think that a man in prison for 22 years would remember every single day.

The night of the 12th (early on the 13th Sunday) Melinda frantically called her friend Nicole Diaz and stated she needed thousands of dollars because she wanted to keep she and Trenton safe from Josh Duckett. Was Josh threatening to release the porn video of him and Melinda and wanted money? Was Josh threatening to take Trenton and Melinda would never see Trenton again? (At this time Josh had a restraining order against him and he could not see Trenton) Why did Melinda need the money in days. Was Melinda going to use the money to have thugs "talk some sense into Josh"? But then why would there be a time limit? Unless something was going to happen if Melinda did not comply?

Around this same time, Melinda called her grandfather to come to her apartment and put a secure lock on her sliding glass doors. Billy Eubank thinks she also changed the locks on her door. She asked Billy if anyone could come into her apartment through the attic ceiling panel. Billy told her there was a firewall and that would prevent anyone from entering. Melinda screwed the ceiling panel shut. Billy Eubank said that after Trenton went missing he realized that Melinda was scared to death. He also believes that Melinda had it on her mind to move out of that apartment. When he and Nancy arrived that night he was surprised to see so much of Melinda's furnishings gone. She told him that night through tears that it was "her job to protect Trenton". And now he was taken right under her nose.

THE ABDUCTION

During her frantic search for Trenton, then realizing he had been kidnapped, Melinda called police friends for help while Danny Bass was calling 911. This was when Melinda called her ex-boyfriend John "Lucas" Brown who was a deputy sheriff with Sumter County Sheriff's Department. She asked him the last name of Carla Massero's boyfriend because she was filling out the missing child report. He didn't know it at the time. But told her later. She wrote the name on the inside of an Orbit gum box.

Nicole Diaz went to Leesburg High School at the same time Melinda Duckett attended there during her Junior year 2002-2003. Melinda then transferred to South Sumter High School where Josh Duckett attended.

Nicole and Melinda were not friends in high school but they knew each other. When Melinda was considered for a job at Bank of America in 2005, Nicole already worked there and told the bank that she knew Melinda. It was when Melinda was hired, the two became friendly.

The early part of 2006, Nicole babysat Trenton for Melinda on Thursday evenings while Melinda had classes at the college. The Eubanks were unavailable to babysit on Thursday as Nancy Eubank is a member of their church choir which has rehearsal on Thursdays. Billy Eubank handles the audio for the church. After Nicole was no longer available to babysit, Cara Mitchell babysat Trenton on Thursday evenings.

It was Cara who told the Leesburg Police that Melinda and Nicole were best of friends and basically she insinuated that if Melinda hid Trenton, Nicole would be the one she confided in. Here is that portion of Cara's interview, previously published on this blog.

The FDLE public records of the Leesburg Police Interview of Nicole Diaz totalled 123 pages. Since there is so much to absorb, I am dividing the interview into 3 segments. However, to understand some of the things mentioned in the interview, I am posting all the posts that were made available on Melinda's Myspace between these two. Not many. Which makes me wonder just how much of a friend Nicole was to Melinda and vice versa. However, Cara Mitchell has volumes of posts on Melinda's myspace.

FDLE - The Trash Pull from Melinda's Dumpster

Those of us, who have been following this case from its onset, most certainly have seen the "items in the trash". Here is the link to the pictures released by Leesburg Police Department one year after Trenton's disappearance. http://www.wftv.com/slideshow/news/13942718/detail.html

However, the pictures that were "selected" for the public to view, were part of the "manipulation" of the Media to paint Melinda as an uncaring mother who threw out precious items that would remind her of her son. This implied that Melinda must have done away with Trenton and didn't want any reminders of her dastardly deed around.

In all the public records that I purchased from FDLE the following pictures of the trash pull were included. Actually, there were TWO trash pulls. One the day after Trenton went missing and the second on September 5, 2006. It seems quite questionable to me that there were many items displayed in the "trash dumpster" that were neatly folded, and carefully placed in suitcases (with paper wrapped around items to keep them from breaking).

In the days following Trenton's abduction, Melinda told her grandparents that when Trenton was found she could never live in that same apartment. In fact, she was afraid to even go there. After Melinda died, there were still many of her things in the apartment, including Trenton's toddler bed. The grandparents removed these items after she died. They donated some household items to charity.

So the question is...who put those carefully packed suitcases in the dumpster as if they were meant to be thrown away?

Manipulation - Josh Duckett's Instructions to Lee Anthony

As Lee Anthony says to Casey Anthony on the phone in this July 2008 video Josh Duckett doesn't give a shit about Caley, Casey, Lee or anyone. FDLE - Interview Matt Carlson

Matt Carlson, known on Melinda Duckett's myspace as "The Last Recidivist" became friends with Melinda through the internet. I looked over his current myspace and I for one appreciate the fact that he still keeps Melinda Duckett (Mee Kee Ong Lee) on his myspace friends list. It's been almost 5 years now and he only knew her a short time. Matt and Melinda met at his July 4th party, where Melinda also met Chris Pearce for the first time. Chris was watching movies with Melinda and Danny Bass at the apartment the night Trenton went missing.

Matt was invited to Trenton's birthday party held at the Venetian Gardens in Leesburg on August 14th. Trenton's second birthday was on August 10, but Melinda planned a combined party for Trenton and her 21st birthday on a Monday. The grandparents and their friends and neighbors were there plus Melinda's coworkers from TruGreen. Chris Pearce was there and Matt Carlson barbecued. After the party, a group of them went to Wal*Mart. It was after this that Cara Mitchell stopped being friends with Melinda. As you will read in the interview, Matt Carlson and Melinda were sitting in the back of a car whispering to each other. Matt's explanation was that he was telling Melinda that he didn't want to have a relationship with her, but just be friends. Phil Mitchell was invited to the party but he never showed up. His birthday was the next day. Melinda was confused as to why he didn't come.
